  • Quantitative and qualitative assessment of spray deposit using gas chromatographic, fluorometric, colorimetric, microscopic and image analysis techniques.

  • Pre- and post-registration efficacy assessment of fungicides, herbicides and insecticides using laboratory and field bioassays.  Deposit/efficacy studies to evaluate the effectiveness of chemical and biological pesticides in the field.

  • Studies to investigate the biological interface - the dose transfer and dose acquisition of insecticides.

Chris Riley has conducted over 200 spray applications to evaluate the effects of application parameters (meteorological conditions, equipment parameters, droplet size and target characteristics) on spray deposit and drift.
